The
Harrogate Antique Fair
Eight years ago,
the organisers of the fair - who have also run
the spring show in Harrogate for twenty years
- were approached to run a showcase event for
the British Antique Dealers' Association at the
Crown Hotel. This event was such a success that
it has expanded to become a key feature of the
autumn circuit of antique fairs in the North of
England.
The move to the Harrogate International Centre in the year 2000 gave the space and facilities for the expansion of the showcase event into a major antiques fair with the original exhibitors being joined by many BADA members and other experts from all over the country.
The development of the fair is closely monitored with attention to detail and balance being the key words. A large percentage of the exhibitors are members of the British Antique Dealers' Association and dealers are selected on a basis of quality, integrity and knowledge with as many areas of antiques as possible represented to give the fair a vital and diverse profile. The fair was invited to run in association with the British Antique Dealers' Association and is the only BADA-associated fair outside London .
It is appropriate that this exciting development in the world of antique fairs should take place in the elegant town of Harrogate, the acknowledged centre of excellence for antiques in the North.
The aim of the fair is to maintain the highest standards while remaining a friendly and informative experience for both exhibitors and visitors. We aim to provide a unique forum where like minded people can discuss and purchase fine art and antiques.
